Thistle scouts is a place of trans joy and easy play and plant love. We are silly and sometimes we are serious.
We have two troup meets a month – the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, from 3:30-6. At a meet we usually do two or three activities Vilde and Ced plan in concert with the weather, the season, the place we live, what plants are doing, and the lives of our troup members. We want everyone to feel safe, comfortable and supported, and we flex and fold and flow. And we always have snacks!
Thistle scouts is always different but always thistle scouts-ly!
Here are some things we’ve done:
Make cemetery nature trash puppets and run our own cardboard tv network
Talk about our hearts in scary times and make gummy cube medicines
Give spring ephemerals new names
Feral fallow herb garden surreal scavenger hunt
Play an original peach potion-making game on the river bank
Seed sensation Soirée
Mapping the energies of energy park
Botanical erotica cruising and first dates
reading about the dandelion royal family and finding our own plant mentors
Free-drawn Techno dixit arcade

We stand for plants and justice, leaves twisting in the wind while our trunks solidly tower and our roots sip from underground rivers.
Thistles vary week to week – in terms of who comes and who those people are. You can earn merit badges! You can make friends! Come, try it out, maybe you’ll come back!
